Hi all,

Got a weird problem with taps/shower in house, previously when hot water tap was turned on hot water would come out as normal. But nowadays when I turn the hot water on or hot shower tap on, cold water seems to come out for a few seconds before it turns to hot water.

Any ideas whats wrong?

Really....

Its just the cold water in the pipes before the hot water reaches you from the boiler/HWC.

It has always been like this I assure you :)

I have the oppostie problem, at first the Hot water comes out (boiling) then goes freezing like the arctic, maybe we could swap taps?

Have you always used the hot tap after someone else has been there and used the shower / taps!

I always get cold water out the hot tap if I don't have the hot water switched on. What's weird about that.

If you're really that concerned you need to fit trace heating to all your hot water pipes and whilst your at it chilled pipework to your cold supplies.
