Moving...
My brother is moving to Canada (Vancouver) soon, so I'd like to get him a farewell gift. Cold weather gear sounds like a sensible option.

Any suggestions for around the £100 mark?

my ex (did the camino with her in 2019) swears by the buffalo special 6 ,she's doing a very long Scotland walk and wild camp in April

Some nice leather Hugo Boss gloves.

Something he will lookat and go cool and can wear out.

Not a boring base layer.

Something stupid like a hat or gloves. Marmite? box of PGtips?

Everything there will be cheaper and better.

Clothing is quite a personal thing and everyone’s taste is different. How about offering to buy the cold weather stuff he wants when he gets there? That way he gets exactly what he wants and needs and you benefit from the fact it’s probably cheaper in Canada.

Find out the main outdoor clothing shops near where he will be living. Buy him a £100 gift voucher for that store. It may not have the personal touch but he will get something useful that he will use.

Probably worth bearing in mind it's as warm now in vancouver as it is here in Manchester.

And while it can get to -25 in Canada (i lived in Toronto for a year), he might nit need all this until next winter...

This.
