Got to admit that this british weather is doing my gaming rig a favior, so far, the lowest case temp i have had over the last week is just under 8.C, nice and cool, anyone else having this :D

After a few hours of BF3 my computer has warmed to room to the point that the thermostatic radiator valve has shut off the radiator.

My old SLI GTX260 rig could get the room I had at uni up to around 25c + during winter.

You have to take into account that my room is 15F x 16F, my pc is by the broken window, has a tiny bit missing out of the corner, believe it or not this makes the room freezing, the house we live in is early victorian, thin walls ect, hard to keep the heat in at winter but in the summer, its boiling, but still good for the pc!

Sounds like a student flat i lived in, you must be freezing?

8 degrees in the case?

Op lives in an igloo.

My compy is 39 degrees whether it's the summer or the winter.

Some years in July / August, cue the threads in GD or General Hardware about PCs running over-temp because of heatwave or humidity. So I can see where the OP is coming from.

Yeah not so much in the winter but in the summer i'm also scared of turning on my XBOX/PS3 because it's so hot

Mines pretty cold since we moved in too. Used to run ~28 degrees at my mums, now its at 18 degrees, 20 maybe under heavy load. And I've turned my case fans down to save power + reduce noise.

I used to live on the ground floor and one night i forgot the window open, which was next to my PC

The case was so cold in the morning when you touched it a small patch of condensation would form and the machine booted SO fast compared to normal :p

I remember checking coretemp as soon as it started up and it was super cold, i called my friend and told him... but i dont remember the number :(

20 under heavy load i find that hard to believe sorry!:(

You'll find most that say "oh my idle temps are only 10c" even though room temp is in the 20's are AMD CPU users reading the wrong temp sensor or the program they are using reporting from the wrong sensor. You should add roughly 15-20c to these stated figures for the 'real' temp.

sounds like a Delta temp to me! 8 degrees is just impossible!

I have had some decent temps, when its been 8 degrees in the morning in my student house, but not that good!
