HELP!

My recently built PC seems to have developed a similar issue to the one that it replaced;

On the first boot of the day, the desktop loads up, but everything is really slow and lacks response. Icons just appear as white, rather than the proper icon. I try to start anything off, slow/no response. If I choose to restart the system, it winds up sat at a black screen doing nothing. I have to hit the reset button, and go through the same process multiple times before it loads up and returns to it's normal self.

This was one of the reasons I'd grown to hate my previous PC, and here I am plagued with the same issue!

Only items I've transferred from the old PC was graphics card, an HD and an SSD. I wondered if it was a knackered drive causing the issue, so disconnected both of the old drives, and the problem still persists.

Has anyone seen behaviour similar to this? Any suggestions? Any software that can analyse my initial boot and see what the hold up is exactly?

It's just frustrating the hell out of me right now, as my new PC has only been built 6 weeks or so :mad:

Looks like I found the culprit!

I'd booted into safe mode, headed to Device Manager and saw a problem with a device - AMDA00 Interface. Looks like it's something to do with AI Suite for my ROG motherboard.

I did a quick search around, and saw a few mentions about it slowing down startup and shutdown processes, and that there didn't seem to be a fix for it. I disabled it, and haven't had the problem since. It's only a few days so far, but considering it was happening every day? My guess is that did the trick.
