Colin Mcrae Dirt - Video I made showing damage and stuff

Yes it makes a diff if you crash and all that. Its not cosmetic. You crash you lose performance in key areas. You can end up wrecking your car to the point you cant go on.

A good example is If you damage the cooling system you might find you have to take it easy for the last lap of the track just to make it. If you start booting it about the car will just die on you.

Does the damage affect the way the car handles or is it all cosmetic?

lots of previous (if not all ?) colin mcrae games have had real damage. You get service points every couple of stages, during which time you get an hour to repair your car, and about 12 different things that can get damaged and stuff to change. You then have to allocate that time as you see fit. So you may need 5 minutes of that 60 to change to tarmac tyres for example, leaving you 50 minutes to fix your cooling system, turbo, and radiator, but with each one taking 20 minutes, you have to prioritise

if you dont repair it, your car just grinds to a halt, and before that it will significant impact performance. Damage and dont repair your steering, your car goes all over the place :D

True dat. :) I hit a cliff whilst stupidily trying to remember what button changed the camera view. Flipped the car, and when I pulled away again I was constantly pulling to the right. Cool! :)
