Colin Mcrea 2005 HEX Cheat? :(

Hello all!

I've recently re-purchased colin mcrea 2005, as I had it ages ago on the PS2, and thought I'd relive some of the awesome (for under £5 aswell)

I thought I'd just bung some cheats on, as there is no way I can be bothered to replay the whole game.

So I found the following advice -

To enable cheats without entering them, open your "options" file located in your savegame folder (c:\Colin2005\SG\) with a hexeditor. Go to location "Ch" - this is the 13th position from the beginnig of the file and overwrite with "FF FF". Go to location "10h", this is the 16th position from the beginning of the file and overwrite with "FF FF".

Now you have all cars, tracks and even the secret "mirror mode" activated! Overwrite both hex positions with "FF" only if you do not want the mirror mode. Overwrite with "FF FF FF" to get small RC Cars!

Eh? So I downloaded a hex editor and played around, but I just can't get the damn thing to work. I can't see any 'ch' bit, and I'm not sure how to in what order the positions go, so I can't find position 13 and 16.

Has anyone done a cheat like this before? Any ideas how I do it? I've googled but to no avail...

try a program called Cheat Engine , its similar to a hex editor good for unlocking things you cba to do

edit - does that just freeze code so you can get unlimited ammo and stuff? Not sure it would work for unlocking tracks and cars? I had one of those things on my N64, that was frikking awesome.
