Collect+ Parcel Service

I've used them plenty of times without problem, always opted for the cheaper economy service but parcels still got to the destination next day usually!

Also apparently they're run by yodel who are meant to be terrible

Umm... I've had good & bad service from Yodel and didn't realise collect+ was part of Yodel.

Might take a chance seeing as people have had no issues and RM prices are expensive.

Used this to return an item to Amazon.

Tracking was great and the item arrived quickly. Bonus being I only had to drop the item in to the corner shop with my Amazon paperwork and it took about 30 seconds to sort out.

I always use Collect+ whether for free returns that some retailers offer, or to send eBay parcels or return goods that I have to pay for myself.

The reasons for me are:

- Cheaper than posting the equivalent size/weight at the Post Office.
- There is a petrol station across the road from me that offers the service.
- The Post Office is an 8 minute walk away, but thats not really an issue, its that when you go to the Post Office you have to queue for ages because of people doing everything but sending post.

The only time I don't use Collect+ now is for valuable items, which I'd stick with Royal Mail Special Delivery, or larger items that Collect+ won't take and require a booked courier.

They are ok, so long as NOTHING goes wrong

I sold a Roku 3 on the rain forest. Sent it via Collect+ through the sellers screen and got the tracking number. The delivery tracking showed it had arrived ok.

The buyer says nothing arrived, no card, no signature.

I phoned up Collect+ who said they have to phone the depot and interview the driver. I chased up everyday for a week and kept getting the run around. In the end they said the depot wouldn't answer the phone.

The buyer ended up filing a dispute case and the rain forest said even though the tracking page showed that it had been delivered, there was no proof the buyer had received it. Ended up loosing £80 :(

Surely you should have then chased collect+ to reimburse you?

Works with Quidco too.

I did have a problem once when the collect + scanners were not working across the country and they wouldnt accept my parcel. I returned when it was "fixed" and my barcode was invalid as apparently it was already "scanned", had to apply for a refund and get a new label. Other than that issue, all good. Bit annoying a lot of packages from Amazon dont actually let you use the feature.

This happened to me before, the tracking show I got the item but I missed the delivery.

I called Collect+ and they advised me to look around my garden and he was right. The delivery driver left it behind few piece of junk I had in my garden

That's interesting to know

I'm actually building a case on how to claim back all the money owed to me from the bay, rain forest and Collect+

I'll be ordering a large clothes order soon which will be going missing ;)

on the 1 in 10 chance I get someone to answer the phone, I get the 'can't do anything till we contact the depot' line. They refuse to give me the depot number.

write to the head office and if nothing else, take out a small claims court judgement against them.

Update, decided to go with collect+ in the end, dropped the parcel off late Wednesday afternoon, parcel delivered mid morning on the Friday. All good, and much cheaper than sending via RM.
