I saw this story a few days ago and facepalmed wondering just how much of a moron you would have to be to do something like this?

Scratching your name Ivan + Hayley 23 on a unesco world heritage site.....

ALL whilst being filmed by another surprised onlooking tourist.

After 3 days tracking down the muppet, low and behold, Hes British and lives in Bristol. Ivan a popular British name after all :P Quell surprise!!!

Similar Shameful thing occurred to me. In the world of geology there is a famous set of rocks in Scotland called the Hutton Unconformity, its of extreme importance in geological history the kind of Issacs Newton Apple on the head of understanding rocks :P
On a field trip there a kid on my course scratched his name with a rock hammer across an outcrop in big 50 cm letters :P (its more than 1 outcrop of rock but this particular spot was often used to show and teach about how it all worked.) Many an inspirational word has been said gazing on these beauties.
My lecturer flipped out so hard i actually thought he was gonna draw some blood.
It was an utterly disrespectful thing to do tbh. The kid was a complete Bell end. I think he dropped out after the first year.

You're the one who stated Ivan isn't a British name, why else did you bring it up?
Hes British and lives in Bristol. its not a very traditional british name? Probably easy to find? Same reason Mine isn't a traditional Swedish name?

Cant be too many Ivans out of the country in the past 3 days....l

Ive said it before but yet again, Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. :P
