Colour becoming washed out on B8 OLED after enabling 120hz

I’m trying to play Xbox at 120@1080 on my B8 LG OLED but when I switch over from 60@4k HDR seems to turn off despite being enabled, and the colours become really washed out.

Does anyone know if this is a limitation of the TV or a configuration issue?

Does the tv show hdr coming on?

Wierd, the bandwidth of 4k at 60 is loads more than 1080 at 120. Does your screen support 120hz? Sometimes the B series get a bit shortchanged. I've only got a c9 and that works fine (but isn't really much help to your situation). Do you have the bit rate right? Sorry going off memory and I only have a lowly series s.

Think I figured it out: I had enabled Dolby Vision at the same time as changing to 120hz.

Edit: no, still being weird. After disabling Dolby I got HDR, but something didn't feel right with the 120hz, and the 120hz option was missing in my game's settings (I'm trying to play Warzone 2). Then I restarted and got 120hz setting again but again (and it feels smoother), but no HDR, and Dolby still turned off

Long short but have you tried turning both off at the mains? I know sometimes hdmi can have handshaking issues.
Just tried that. Hasn’t seemed to make a difference.

Also when I’m running at 4K I can see a HDR option in the game’s setting menu, but not when I’m running 120hz.

I would try another cable, a certified 4k cable. I had a load of problems with my PS4 Pro years ago because the cable it came with wasn’t up to the job. It’s worth a go.

New cable didn’t work unfortunately. I can only put it down to the Series S.
