Colour Printer with scanner

Hi all,

Looking for a recommendation on a colour printer, as my Epson 4850 EcoTank has gone pop. I wasn't particularly impressed with it's print quality either being inkjet.
Happy up to ~£350, and must have relatively cheap ink. Duplex scanning would be a bonus

I bought my daughter a Canon colour laser a few years ago but it had a problem so I replaced it with a Brother. More recently our Samsung died so I asked my daughter if she liked the Brother and she said she loves it. So I bought a Brother MFC-L8690CDW and we are very impressed with it. It cost about £400 but I think they do cheaper models. For a laser the cartridges seem cheaper than other brands (the "compatible" ones from Cartridgesave work fine).

My EcoTank 4750 is still going strong and has been the best inkjet I’ve had. Cheap to run and reliable. Have you contacted Epson about warranty (5 year) and repair options?
