Colour under icon writing

on xp the colour has appeared under the writing on my desktop icons , how do i get rid??

right click my computer, properties, advanced, perforamnce>settings. tick the box 'adjust for best appearance'.

if that doesn't work, try this....

Try right clicking on desktop / Arrange Icons by / and see if Lock Web Items on Desktop is ticked if so untick it.
