Hi.
Has anyone heard nout when the other colours for the Wii are coming out?
I'd really like to have a black one, but im itching to play Zelda, and im considering giving in and getting the 'stock' white one.
Nowt for a while, although I have seen some coloured fascia faceplates doing the rounds to distinquish between Developer, End-User and Playable kits (Green, White and Orange respectively).
Don't think we'll see any fully coloured ones until the first quarter of 2007 when it's a bit more established.
Not heard anything about the coloured Wii's in a while. But I've grown to like the white one a lot, seeing as all we've seen over the past few months in the white one.
I suspect we will see coloured Wii's in about 6-12 months time, probably to coincide with the launch of specific games, much like the GC normally came in Black or Purple but had at various times other coloured varients that came with games like MarioKart and Zelda.
White consoles look great to begin with, but they just don't keep their colour. I dug out a SNES earlier which was yellow and even my Dreamcast can't really be called white anymore.
I'd imagine my Xbox360 will look pretty similar in a couple of years time.
Ok now. The really bad and poor jokes about the Wii have been done to death months ago and i seriously doubt anyone finds them funny anymore, so can we cut it out please, or at the least, in this thread. Thanks.
Thinking about it, i'd have to say i can see Werewolf's view on this. They probably will release new colours as/when new games come along.
Im not so sure the Wii in white will discolour though. The surface of the Wii isnt 'matt' like the 360/DC, its more 'Gloss', so i'd imagine it'd be harder to discolour in the 'normal' manner.
In 90% of the way to pre-ordering it now. Gonna order on Friday after work.
I can allways sell my Wii and get a black one at a later date i suppose.
