Oh my, that looks good. I played the voxel based Comanche 3 a lot when I was a kid and this hits the spot for me. I remember you could replay/fast forward/rewind your failed mission and jump in to play from any point, it felt like cheating but to a 9 year old it was a godsend!

Looks like an absolute ******* turd of a game. Which pains me because the one thing I want is a good helo game.
Go look at some videos of the Huey in DCS, though calling it a game wouldn’t really be fair, and it takes genuine time and effort to learn
I have Comanche Gold, was a fun play but the controls took a bit getting used to. that video doesn't smack me of being a modern upgrade though, it's like one of those "reboots" where they use the name and virtually nothing else. used to love copter games, loved Thunderhawk on the Amiga, and Team Apache on the PC.
Amazing how much value there is in the fiction of the Comanche helicopter vs the abysmal project itself which spent billions of dollars, soaked up 2 decades of work and got as far as making two prototypes.
Looked cool though and had some fancy but dubious goals.
