I currently have a power shower and an old regular boiler, im getting a combi fitted within the next few months. Will this power shower have to go or will it still work, I know it will essentially be redundant as combis work at mains pressure and dont need a pump but im asking if it will definitely need to be replaced by a mixer shower or not?

Edit: Do you have a power shower or an electric shower? There's a guide here. An electric shower would be fine as it would be fed with just one cold water pipe. I'm not sure about a power shower with hot & cold and a pump to up the pressure. What do the people selling/fitting your boiler say?

Pumps are not compatible with combi boilers, and need a cistern. If you're having your cisterns taken out, you would have to change the shower I think.

Yeah its a power shower, defo not electric.

Looks like itll have to go then, any ideas how much it would cost to have a mixer shower fitted in its place? Assuming i buy the shower by myself somewhere.

I think you'd have to check on the specs you need and how much pipework you would need.

Ideally you need to check if you can find something that's a direct replacement with the pipe fittings in the same place, so your plumber isn't going to have to start chasing pipes through walls. Check the manufacturer of your current shower and see if they do a mixer replacement.
