Combine image and mp3 into an avi

Is there an easy free piece of software I can do this with? I have windows movie maker, but that only seems to let me create them at small resolutions, I want this to be at 1920x1200 so I can merge it with another video of that res.

What's the best way to do this? Thanks!

You can create custom resolution profiles in Windows Movie Maker but it is limited to 1920x1080 annoyingly.

You could encode at the next 16:10 resolution below 1200p and upscale afterwards in virtualdub, handbrake etc. Not ideal though.
