I have android phone, tablet, windows 8 tablet, pc running outlook and a windows 8.1 pc.

How do I combine them all into one so that if I update my phone, say the calendar or contacts, it updates my tablets and PC? I know cross platforms will make it difficult but I use all my kit for different things and do not want to go Apple!!

I'm trying but some update, some dont, I have lots of contacts on my phone but nothing seems to go through to my outlook etc

Get a Google account, that will handle the contacts and calendar etc, then you can use GSyncIT to sync your google calendar to outlook. I have the following sync'd

Nexus 5
Work PC running Outlook 2013 (running GSyncIT v4)
iPad
Macbook
Work Laptop running Outlook 2010

The latter 3 all sync up with my Exchange account, the exchange account (calendar) is sync'd/fed from my Google account, which obviously the phone uses etc

I do the following, Android phone/slate (moto g/nexus 7), outlook, windows 8 pcs :)

outlook - set up 'hotmail' account first, I use 2010 so thats the hotmail connector in my case. Then set up any other email you want. The reason for this is that if it's done another way hotmail doesn't become default account for contacts and calendar. You may need to add contacts the first time depending on your setup but the sync tool below might help if they're google already :)

Windows 8 just needs to use the hotmail account to sync email (will only do hotmail, any other outlook email will need to be added), contacts, calendar.

Android - install MS onedrive or outlook.com app (can't remember which) and then adjust your phone settings to use microsoft over google for calendar/contacts etc.

This is how I've set mine up and it seems to works fine for me :)

You could use software like go contact sync mod if you'd like to sync your contacts to google from outlook but it's not really needed if done like above.
