Comedy recommendation - LOL: Last One Laughing

Saw this on Gogglebox last Friday, and started watching it 2 nights ago.

The premise is a simple one. 10 Comedians are put in a room together for 6 hours and the objective is to try not to laugh, whilst attempting to make everyone else break.

They get a yellow card the first time they laugh, then a red card and they are out.

Each 30 minute episode supposedly covers an hour, so obviously some stuff got chopped out.

By episode 3 I was cry-laughing.

Jimmy Carr has some surprises throughout, like special guests and each Comedian has a pre-prepared 'bit' called their Joker that they get to play.

It's only 6x episodes. Well worth it considering the dearth of decent comedy these days.

I thought it was decent until it just stopped near the end and I had to wait a week for more episodes.
Now they're out I'm over it.

I've not watched any of the actual show yet, and I gather there have been several episodes released already, but all things being equal if Bob Mortimer could avoid laughing himself, he would actually easily walk a show like this, definitely. I mean in some respects its not even fair having him on the show.

Personally struggled with how forced and contrived it felt, though some genuine funny moments I barely made it to the end of the first episode, definitely not a show format for me personally.

Episode 1 is probably the worst episode, weirdly.

Would have been better if they didn't use the 'usual ch4' comedians and put some new people in.

I imagine Jimmy Carr got to choose them? He vets everyone on 'Cats does countdown'

Ayoade isn't even a stand-up comedian like most of the others. I suppose Bob Mortimer isn't either, even though he did shows with Vic Reeves.

Obviously Daisy May Cooper isn't either.
