Comet HD in Stock

not in my postcode either. 2 months of waiting for one of these things now. the hunt continiues.............................

I think I will wait, The only reason MS can justfy the cost is the lack of supply and surplus of demand.

I'll buy the HDD when either £70 will get me 200GB+ or £30 will get me 20GB+

£70 is too much for what works out to be 13GB. IMO they should not be selling it as a 20GB drive if its nearly half full. It should be sold as a 13GB drive as thats all the space we can use.

I dont think they will be reducing the price any time soon. Certainly not for a number of months.

Personally I wouldn't mind paying £70, if not only for the freedom it allows. I paid £280 for the console, £30 for another controller and £20 for a VGA Cable (that doesn't get used) and if I needed a HDD I would then pay £70.

I don't know why people will pay £50 for a game, £30 for a controller and £210 for a console and they say ... £70 is too much, not getting that.

In a dream world everything would be less than £30.

I think its the fact that your paying 70Gb for what is effectively a normal Pc harddrive, its not rocket science. Considering the cost per GB in todays world its quite a markup really...

But it's not for a PC. My point is, it's a valuable addition to the Xbox360, so for £70 I would pay it.

You don't need the space for all the stuff you do on a PC. So, despite it being, in essence, a PC laptop HDD, it is different because it's not needed for Windows Applications, Games and Music.

Its purpose/use does not change the technology behind it, which is frankly an established inexpensive technology. Do you not agree?

Get yourself down to virgin in crewe. I have been in a few times a week recently and they always have premiums in stock. *Waits for kidloco to visit and find for the first time in a month they dont have any in stock!*

personaly i see it as paying 30 for the drive and then another 35 for the formatting so i can use it on my 360. Maked paying that bit extra a little easier.

LOL mate, you dont know how right you are. i could walk into the the factory that makes them only to find out that they are out of stock :)

I know they can be had off a certain place, but I refuse to pay more then the RRP for what is an expensive addon. dont think its me being tight, I mean i paid over a grand for a new HD TV just for my XBOX360, its just I feel that they should be readily available for the RRP.

if anyone does see a place in the north west ( warrington area ) that has one, LET ME KNOW PLEASE ;) better still buy th ebugger and ill have it off you and get you a pint :)
