I wear a pair of Wolverines and think they're a great boot, on my feet all day so think it's worth getting something decent. Don't forget if you pay for them yourself you wont have to pay any VAT.

Always purchased Goliath safety boots - take a bit of breaking in, but worth it down the line. Have tried others, but find Goliath's never let me down. Will probably buy another pair of these in next few months - https://www.graniteworkwear.com/p_189_goliath-sdr15csi-safety-boots

I would be really lucky if Dewalt safely boots would last 6 months

I been buying these Mascot safely shoes for last few years (They cost around £85 and last about 9 months )

To be fair I rarely get to go on site now so a pair will probably last until retirement

What do you do for work?

I have bought DeWalt maxi for the past 10 years. Usually last me a year and I'm a landscaper/gardener so they get some hammer

My workplace supplies us with work boots but there crap so i just buy my own..

In my workplace we have to wear toe caps all the time for H&S reasons. On the odd occasion we have people with strange feet who end up getting referred to OH. This is what we get them. You can buy normal sizes but they also offer a service where someone comes out and measures your feet. Not cheap but for someone who is on their feet for 12 hours a shift I can recommend them. I have a cheaper set as I bought mine myself.

Mine were 15 quid from treago ,size 12 but I wear socks from https://www.sealskinz.com/ that I hike in ,works for me ,toe caps won't break in sideways but length ways the heel will add lenth I ,have big feet
