Hi Guys

Coming soon, the brand new high end cooler from Silverstone.
This pairs massive performance with a long overdue design characteristic where the cooler actually allows for installation of memory with tall heatspreaders.

Designed for ultimate performance without the risk of inteference with tall memory heatspreaders, the Silverstone Heligon Cooler is the paramount tower cooler for high end systems.

The all new Heligon HE01 CPU cooler is designed for both performance and quietness. The wide aluminum fin spacing are specially designed to minimize noise when air travel through its heatsink. The included 140mm fan offer exceptional cooling power, this low noise fan is also adjustable allowing you to decide the right amount of airflow for your CPU. With the include fan clips, up to three 140mm fans can be installed to enable HE01 to obtain cooling performance that rival the best air coolers on the market.
The Heligon HE01 is capable of safely cooling high-end CPUs such as the Intel Core i7 3960X. It has the ability to cool CPUs up to 300W. For those looking to obtain the highest cooling performance at the lowest noise possible, the SilverStone Heligon HE01 is an unbeatable solution.

• Superior silence and performance
• Six soldered heat-pipe, copper base and aluminum fins ensuring the best thermal conducting efficiency.
• Designed for standard chassis at 164mm tall
• Include adjustable 140mm fan for excellent cooling and low noise
• For use with CPUs up to 300W

I could use a different fan on this if i wanted to? I like the look of this

You could indeed, it looks to be a 140mm (120mm mounting) fan. It also looks possible to add up to another 2 fans.

Looks a decent cooler, price isn't that bad either.

tweaktown have a full review.

96% and they don't give out agreable reviews lightly.

not sure if it comes with extra clips. i think it is designed to be a complete unit as it is.

the specifications state that it cools up to 300W TDP

Does it come with extra mounting clips for additional fans?

seems so mate

Even though there is only one fan shipped with the HE01, SilverStone offers even more room for improvement by supplying to total of six wire fan clips so that you may run up to three fans on this cooler if you should choose to do so.

171cfm @ 62dB is in wind tunnel territory but as they say, that's just meant for short bursts when benchmarking. I would be using it in quiet mode and even then it shifts quite a bit of air. I really like the look of this, I've been considering getting a Noctua but this might just tempt me instead.

62dB (Holly Godness Me - worse than Aircraft take off sound blast) but 171cfm is pretty good for any overclocking of more than 5GHz on this cooler.

Will OCUK test this on low, medium and high speed fan with i7 2700K and i7 3770K with 4.6GHz to 5GHz review ?

this one only needs one and doesn't obstruct the RAM slots

It only having one fan doesn't mean it's good enough to match the K2. Fair enough point on obstructing memory slots but it's always best to just get lower memory modules anyway. Even modules as tall as the RipJawZ will fit under a K2. Get a second fan on the Heligon and you get the same problem.

the fan has multiple speed settings. read the review i linked

no cooler promotion thread would be complete without a request from bulldog for us to replicate his system and overclock settings exactly. :p

honestly, i wouldnt add another fan to this as a fan used in conjunction with the stock fan would surely mean both fans are spinning at different speeds.

only way around it is to use a pair of fans.

In honesty. the fan on this is more than adequate to do its job. a second fan is not required and is essentially, more expense.

the option is there if you want it though

I like it, but rather it was just the same width on both sides as tall ram is completely pointless for air cooling. I would want a front fan anyway. That fan looks quite thick, if it fit I wouldn't mind one for my D-14. :D Doesn't the D-14 fit tall ram if you don't use a fan anyway? This is nothing new but I do think that it looks really good.
