coming up 1 year from build....cleaning tips

Hi guys i am coming up on 1 year from building my 1st desktop, everything has worked brilliant, i have not even opened the case since building it, and where im getting a 3tb internal HDD for xmas i thought what better time to give the inside of the desktop a clean while also fitting new hardware.

So just wondering if there are a certain compressed air i should use (in the UK) as ive heard a lot of compressed air lets out moisture, id love a link to a safe can of compressed air for our use just to make sure really

my plan is not to actually touch anything just blow off everything with compressed air and slap my new HDD in

any tips and a link to a safe compressed air (UK) would be brilliant,

to be honest I tried compressed air but because of the moisture I haven't let it near my PC because of this.

I normally do it the old way of taking everything out and giving it a good clean from dust by using soft brushes. I don't do this often, once every couple of months but I don't mind doing it.

i really dont like the idea of taking everything apart

ive heard that using brushes can create a build up of static....

Use the air can to remove most of the dust, then wipe your fan blades with a damp cloth.

Tbh, I just use a small paint brush and it's also easier if you clean out your case every 3 months.

 

[On Holiday]

Compressed Air won't get rid of the deep dust. Use a damp cloth on non-PCB/non-electronic parts and use a damp cloth for everything else.
