Due an upgrade at the end of the month, contract ends on Dec 13th.

Currently running an M8 (which I have loved) with 4gb data and unlimited texts and calls for 34 quid a month. Popped into the EE shop to see what was on offer and I was shown deals starting at 50 quid a month for any of their flagship phones with less data!

So either she thought we were mugs or we'll have to wait until December so we can look at other network deals.

What would you guys suggest for about £35/m? What phones are worth a look? I'll miss the IR blaster on the M8 no matter which I choose so for once I don't really have a preference. HTC 10? One+3? S7 or S7 Edge (unlikely to find in budget?). Would like a micro sd slot if possible.

Any ideas?

Both very helpful (the missus is determined to get an iphone). Hadn't heard of the honor 8 and the review seems to place it right where I want it. I have a 6S as my work phone so this is just for mooching about on. Looks like I might hang onto my M8 until December then!

I had similar dilemma around Feb/Mar this year. My M8 was still going well, but was finally out of contract with Vodafone and any deals were a rip off.

Turned out Voda were doing a sim only deal and i got Unlimited Mins/Txts, 20GB per month and Netflix for 12months for £20 p/m. So snapped that up and ended up ordering a Oneplus 3 at launch and loving it so far and crazy fast charging. Feel it's miles better than the Oneplus 2 or X which i'd both given a try and sold on.

I have been looking at new contracts the past few weeks as well. EE seem to be the most expensive for contracts at the moment, I assume they believe they can charge more as they have a larger & faster 4G network. Try looking at other networks as they seem to be a bit cheaper than EE.

With Three for example you can get a S7 / S7 Edge for £29-£34 per month, with 4gb of data & unlimited texts/calls. On the main Three store they will have a upfront cost for the phone but on other sites you can get the same deal without the upfront costs :)

I'm happy with my one plus 3 but I also miss my HTC ir blaster.

Seems like sim only is cheaper at the moment for one plus 3 of you can afford the upfront cost.

I have the Honor 8 and for the money it's a fantastic device, great battery life, great camera, and looks awesome as well, Don't use the IR blaster my self much but it does come in handy sometimes.
