Agree about CoH, it was fun to play at first, looked greatm but lacked the playability of C&C and longitivity.

yeah, with coh, once someone has retreated and fortified the choke points or blown the bridges after them it becomes an arty slugfest

One of the things that may make many of you happy is the system requirments.

P4 1.8GHz, 512MB RAM, 8GB HD space, DX9.0c 64MB graphic card with 8X DVD ROM.

They reccommend a P4 @2.4GHz, 1GB RAM, 128 MB video card.
wooo those specs i can handle, as a comparison, anyone know what the min/recomended specs for generals was?

Don't care what the reviews come out with - it's C&C goddamit and I'm buying it whatever.
Stop relying on those reviews, ask yourself who is actually reviewing this game...if I "reviewed" half the FPS out there they would only get 50% cause to me they are so boring :)

C&C3 Kane Edition pre-ordered for £26 all in - roll on end of March :)

those specs are really low. now while that doesnt suprise me (EA want to sell to as many people as possible) it does suggest that they really arnt pushing the limit. i'll still probably get it though.

I've pre-ordered this and also don't care what the reviews say, i grew up with C&C and i have every C&C game ever released as i love it so much.

The official trailer looks amazing :)

Can get it from fileplanet for those who haven't seen it.

And that's exactly why the majority (if not all) reviewing sites out there match up games to be reviewed with people who are fans of the genre ;)

A big  to everyone who thinks a game is all about graphics.

Comparing graphics engines does not mean that's all people are interested in, so keep the roll eyes to yourself! To be honest, game developers should be trying to push new boundries, not keep rehashing the same engine time and time again (baring in mind this is like the 5th game to use the Generals engine...).

C&C has never been about "how good can we make this look" - it's about gameplay.

Funny you should say that considering Generals was so far away from what many gamers considered to be true C&C gamplay that they went back to older iterations.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Generals should have no way been part of the C&C franchise - it was a completely seperate game with a completely seperate feel to it, with the C&C name stuck onto it to boost sales.

By the sounds of things, this game is right back to old-school C&C. Not sure about the gameplay yet (as obviously I haven't played it!), but the art styling and effort they've put into the cut scenes certainly stinks of C&C. If it lives up to its heritage, I'll purchase it!

Yeah once EA took over Westwood Studios, Generals was the first C&C title produced by EA, they're bound to get it wrong, they've managed to make some of the worst coded games i've played, and i refuse to buy from them now. BF2142 i got for free... :D

Demo, now that i'll try...... but if any of my other EA titles are much to go on i'm not expecting much, General's though, was OK, fun for LAN games....

I have year old games that have the most simple of features added, that EA still fail to produce, one example would be proper Widescreen support...

Sorry for the rant........ i just hope EA manage to do C&C some justice this time round.
