Just relised my gigabyte k8n pro sli was running my ram at 2T. It's two 1GB G.Skill ZX modules. I've set it manually to 1T as most places say it's better and 2T should only really be set if it's unstable on 1T.

So just wondering as I've never messed with that ram setttings before , if it don't like it , will it simply blue screen me? , or will it do something else that I should look out for?.

Thanks :).

If its unstable at 1T you'll get crashes or BSOD.

If you want to make sure its stable, run a few passes of memtest86+ (you need to make a bootable floppy or cd), test 5 is best for finding errors.

You should be fine at 1T, though I've had problems with gigabyte boards running 1T before.
