Does anyone know if there is a version of Commandos Behind Enemy Lines that will work on current HW and Windows 7. The sequel too would be cool. I loved those games and would love to give them another go BUT the CD I have won't even try to install even with all the backwards compatibilty stuff you can try in Windows :(

Oh and If I don't get a reply I wouldnt be surprised lol. They werent the best rated games and we are going back a while so I doubt people will know what Im babbling about haha Help if you can though :)

I have them on Steam and they work fine through that

W7 64bit

-Actually Commandos2 is the only one I have, but it works perfectly

for 1 you need to get a slow down patch to make it work correctly, its pretty simple to do. I have them all on steam and they all work flawlessly :)

Commandos 2 (retail) works without any problems for me. I bought 'Behind Enemy Lines' and 'Beyond the Call of Duty' from GOG over Christmas and they are fine too... the audio was missing from the mission briefings but running the game with Windows 95 compatibility and/or as administrator fixes that.

Lol how do you mean fast :)

Hows 3? I loved 2 but was worried it could get really complicated after 2's additions if they added more crazy 3d model stuff haha

As in, I click somewhere and they are instantly there, guards patrols are just blurs etc. I might have needed to limit the FPS or something.

Number 2 was my favourite, still love the menu music.

If you have the original retail disk, it works under 7/64 if you edit the registery file. Found it on a google search.

Rather than keep my disk out, grabbed it from the steam sale, 764 works fine.

Commandos 3 was pretty weak imo.

This is from someone who considers Commandos, especially 2, some of the best games ever.

Loved the second on, the missions were brilliant. I remember well the guns of navarone, the bridge over the river qwai, paris, sub dockyard and colditz was fantastic!
