Commando Mobo Advise

Hi all

Saw the Commando Mobo on OCUK, think its by Asus,

claims to be the dogs, great overclocking out the box etc etc

does anyone have any experiance of the mobo?

seems to be quite expensive coming in at £150 so is it really worth the much?

IMO not worth the extra, get a P5B D instead

Im also looking at the commando, along with a quad core when they become a bit cheaper.

Agreed - Abit QuadGT does everything the Commando does for a lot less money. ASUS P5B Deluxe is also very good. I'm really not sure where ASUS is going with the whole Republic of Gamers line-up - loads of dosh for not a lot of additional features or performance.

Think you're paying for the words 'Commando' and 'Republic of Gamers' primarily! Nice boards - just a little pricey when you look at the alternatives!

I've read reports of the Commando buzzing when overclocked, not sure if people here have reported it and the fix seems to quite simple but something else to consider when parting with 150 big ones
