Just something my friend and I have been working on for our gaming team.

It's taken shape in around 3 days, with ideas flying around everywhere. We will be implementing a fully custom PHP CMS system. (It's currently reading from SQL tables).

The site is validated XHTML strict, however I can't say the same about the css (yet).

What are your general thoughts on the design? Do you have any ideas which could make it better?

Visually, rather nice. Good appreciation of design, the typography is pretty tasty and it all looks pretty good. I love the soc. network icons peeking over the content box.

One thing I would say though is there's a bit of a lack of visual hierachy; my eye doesn't know where to look instantly because of the large, graphical header and there's no clear billing as to what's most important. This might be down to the fact that I'm looking at it @ 1920x1200 though which is not what your average user will see things at.
