I know some people in here are bang into their fitness. So happy to hear some comments to lose that extra 10lb.
I'm on a busy schedule and only go to the gym in my lunch hour. 5 times a week.
I do half hr cardio, be that a row, or eliptical or run.. Then i rush through the machines or free weights, doing 20 reps at a time x 3.. , so 60 on 8 different groups. Giving me a total of around 480 reps. I'm done showered and back to work all within the space of 80mins.
You know, I don't bother taking anything like protein or any thing else. I'm not trying to body build. Actually i think most body builders look gay. Especially if there's a tight top in the mix. I'm just trying to stay fit and not put any weight on. (nearly 40 now) I'm normal in size, actually a little more solid than most, and probably just look a solid normal in a set of clothes.
I go, cos its better than sitting at my desk, and if I don't I put 20lb on fast, and have to train like an animal to lose it. I've decided to go lower in weight and do more faster and intense reps. Like instead of benching 200lb, just 100lb. But with very little breaks inbetween. So no time for recovery, at least until I'm back at my desk at work..
I use to throw a 10 mile cycle into the mix in the morning, but just not finding the time anymore.. Will probably get back into the cycling. I think I'm going to need to, since I'm 10lb over my ideal weight, and don't seem to be getting any slimmer.
My diet is ummm ok, i eat small portions during the working week, of reasonably healthy, and what I mean by that is not a fry up every morning. But say a bowl of cereal, toast, small bowl of pasta and whatever the wife makes me for dinner. Then perhaps a little nibble of something such as pretzels / nuts come 9pm.
At the weekend, I don't even try and be good. I'll happily wof down a burger, fries and milkshake and sit there content.
I've tried to be good at weekends, but it doesn't even last the weekend, so please no change your diet comments, cos its part of my social life going out to eat, and I'm not changing that part.. If there's any training comments to help lose that extra 10lb, I'll be glad to hear it.
