Hi all,
As some of you guys know, I have started playing WoW (thanks for all your help with my queries).
I have recently got a friend involved too and we are trying to find ways to communicate without having to type everything ie skype.
Skype doesn't seem to work so well when we are playing the game, so I was just wondering how others speak to each other when they are playing??
Is there an in game option???

Thanks for any help in advance
Warhead ;)

I've used Skype, Vent, TS, and the in game chat.

I've never had a problem with Skype when it's just been 4/5 of us, also used this for Left 4 Dead.

Vent is good, better then TS. Used for raiding.

In game chat, used a few times, never had a problem with, might take a bit of getting used to but it works just fine.

Well, my guild has a Ventrilo server thats payed for by donations.

Worth its weight in gold. Especially when you get drunked members come onto it a sing the He-Man theme tune in Swedish or tell you that they decided to rip off their clothing rather than get undressed normally last night (jeans too). Or your guild leader calling his wife babe, but it sounding like he was saying that to another guild member. Or when the GM tells you that we are getting a girl onto Vent, so we shouldnt swear and someone saying (after she logs in) "So we cant say words like ****flaps?" then hearing her log off straight after.

Good times :D

Oh back to the point, you could try running either Ventrilo or Teamspeak server on on of your PCs then the other guy connecting to that and using that. Vent has better sound quality, but im not sure about the server software. Teamspeak servers are (IMHO) easier to setup, but the sound quality is poor.
