So with the big success of C.A.R.S (Community Assisted racing simulator), do you think we could experience something similar but for the MMO genre?
Things like Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3 and NV all have MASSIVE modding communities, mainly centred around the nexus, but that place to me shows that community assisted MMO development could not only work, but also be a huge success.
I also feel like it could potentially be the future of the that industry.
Think about it, models, animations and world placement etc could be handled by the community, voted on and implemented based upon communities reactions.
Graphics could potentially be updated all the time, new quests added daily. I think the potential is endless.
So what do you think?
