Family member turned my comp off the other night when i was at work.
Turned it on the next morning once i was done.. boot screen but then screen turned off saying there was no input... fair enough.

Held the power button in to turn the comp off.. no joy.
Reset button no joy..

If i flick the switch on the power supply or take the power lead out it turns off obviously.. but as soon i as put it back in or flick the switch it automaticly starts up again but doesn't boot up.

Thought the power button may have been jammed but i disconnected all the LED, Reset and Power button cables and it still powers on when the power supply is powered on.

Any ideas? i'm stumped.

Wake up on LAN?

Try disabling that in the BIOS?

Edit: Reading comprehension > me.

Its a good PSU so that shouldn't be at fault. Try checking through the BIOS options. I am assuming you now get an input, or does it just power up with no input.

If it is on one of those power things with like 5 plugs, try plugging directly into the wall, I have heard of that before (although weird).

No monitor output to check the BIOS...
Tryed plugging it straight into the wall but still the same, automatic turn on when psu switch tuned on.

I'm awaiting a shot of a PSU tonight to check. That'll prove that at least.

built an old amd system last night had the same issues soon as i put the power cable in the psu everything powered up with no boot, sorted mine by taking the battery out and clearing the cmos

Clear the CMOS, Check the BIOS after that for anything that seems out the blue such as boot on lan, boot on keyboard, boot on mouse
