Hey dudes today I got my Corsiar 800d and H50 and some new memory.
Install went fine, moved everything over all fitted nicely and everything looked great.
However now i get no signal to my monitor when i boot the pc, at first i thought i had done some thing to the gfx or the memory so swapped them out one at a time with my old one's and still nothing.
When i press the power button the computer sounds like it comes on for half a second then goes off then comes on again and tries to boot. All the fans come on my gfx card comes on. there is a green light on my asus pq5 pro so that seems to have power but all i get on the monitor is no signal.

Anyone got any ideas pleease? I will buy cookies for whoever helps me solve this...:(

update :
OK so did some fiddling about today when i got in form work.
Seems that my asus wont boot with more than 2gb of ram in
It runs fine with my 2x 1gb of pc 6400 and fine with 1 stick of my 2gb pc 8500 but if i try up it to 4gb it wont work.
Any reason for this as my mobo should easily be able to run the 4gb

Anyone any ideas

I'd try check myself to make sure it is the ram that's faulty, because if it's not you'll be back to square one with the same ram

Must be the ram surely, my pc seems to work fine when I boot it with my old 2gb of xms pc6400, but won't boot at all with my new 4gb of pc 8500.
Well it boots (by the sound of it) but I get no signal through the monitor.

.ps i'm only running a 32bit os so i know it will only be able to recognise 3gb but should still boot up with 4gb

Do you not have to up the memory voltage for 4gb to work ?

Voltage: 2.1V

Ok didnt no this never had to look in the bios or anything (never overclocked) , but just looked in the bios and under DRAM voltage it says its on auto so shouldnt this change the vaults depending on the amount of Ram?

OK been looking on the net and it seems a few people have had this problem and a lot are saying to upgrade my BIOS to the latest version.

Could someone tell me how I do this? Keep reading i need a floppy drive -which i dont have is there another way I can do it?
