Right, my beloved computer just died all of a sudden while playing World Of Warcraft - just switched off with no warning, and wouldnt restart again, if i turn it off by the power supply and back on, then hit the power switch, it comes on for less than one second and goes off again.

Then i figured, hmm - ill replace the power supply to a brand new seasonic 550w over my antec trueblue (Had it lying around, was still sealed)

No joy, still does the same thing again.

What can it be? i assumed it was a short but.. nothing appears to be shorting out?

Bought just before christmas, DFI lan party mobo, 7800gtx, 2gb geil value

Could well be the mobo, take it the lights etc can still work if the mobo does? because they do atm, the mobo lights etc are on whenever the power is on

Overclockers always ^^

Will give them a ring in the morning, not sure if its replacable though after so long?

what would cause a mobo to just die in the middle of nowhere for no reason?

Second opinions anyone? just in case it could be something else? im pretty sure you're right mate, i just dont want to commit to something when it could be a different fix or something :)

Update! It also works if the PCI-E cable isnt plugged into the graphics card itself it kind of boots up, but with a pop noise :p

Not sure what to do, because i wouldnt know what to RMA :P
