Comp has turned off last 3 nites

for some reasom the last 3 nights my computer has turned itself off and when i press the power button it doesent work (even when holding it) so i have to turn it off via power supply switch then turn it back on for it to work again.

any idea what could be causing this

Nope nothing changed this is my second computer and it only gets used for one purpose, its not had any new software in over a year

specs:

rampage 2 extreme
i7 920
12gb vengence
custom water cooling
650w corsair

Prob a stupid idea, but are you sure its not going into some kind of hibernate mode, rather than turning off?

seems like a power supply issue i had a similar problem on my old pc. it got to a point where the psu started making a buzzing sound so i replaced this and its working fine now.

And it maybe psu but I don't have a spare I can test with for 24 hour

is it overclocked in any way, if it is put it back to default speeds.

what other kit is connected,can you disconnect anything to reduce the power required off the psu ?

bah i reset bios to default and now its just BSOD constant, cant even remember what vaults ect i need to set it to to fix it

EDIT: friend helped me out so ill test it overnite n see if its the cpu and if not then i need a new psu

well it happend again so i guess its the PSU, ill just have to buy one or send this one back if i can find my invoice
