hey guys im not sure if you know this... but if you're doing comp sci or comp engineering or something like that at uni, then your uni might have given you a link to the MSDNAA website where you can download copies of Windows for free and they give you the licence keys as well...

the funny thing is... you can download XP SP3, XP SP2, XP SP1 and just plain XP as separate downloads, and for some reason MS give you different license keys for each one... so you get 4 XP Pro licenses for free! :D

they give you Vista Enterprise and Vista Business and 7 Professional as well... just thought I'd point this out so if you're a comp sci student then look into it or speak to the person in charge of systems at your uni

ANyone in a computing faculty should get msdnaa (if the uni offers it, should do.)

I'm on game design and have msdnaa. TIs a god send :D

It's good for pretty much everything except Office, but there you've got the Ultimate Steal offers anyway. Perpetual licenses mean you're free to carry on the software even when you're no longer enrolled. Provided you're eligible the only real restriction is you're not allowed to use it for commercial purposes.
