I wasn't sure where to stick this post so I hope this is in the right forum (probably not, sorry)
I'm looking to buy a good techy book on how to troubleshoot, build and repair pcs/laptops. I've got Scott Mueller's 'Upgrading and Repairing PCs" but 90% of it is mostly made up of history and superfluous details about cpus et al.
What I'm after is an up to date Comp TIA+ study guide book or similar but I'm not sure which to get aside from the latest publication of course.
All I can find are Certification 'All-In-One' Exam guides of 2 years older or more, or those dealing with security issues
I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a good up to date (as recent as possible at least) book on how to build/repair pc/laptops and the basics of setting up and maintaining a network (nothing CCNA or the like). Preferably CompTIA+ as I might have missed something somewhere, but any decent 'how to' book would suffice.
Thanks very much
