Hi guys

i logged of my computer last night got up this morning and turned it on,the computer loads to the desktop and then just either goes blue or black.
The computer starts fine in safe mode so i thought hey could be the gfx card, went to device manager un-installed the gfx driver started it back in normal mode and it loaded fine, windows picked up the gfx card and installed the driver for it,so after that i did a re-start and yet im getting the same problem any ideas?

well, if your case air circulation and ambient room temperatures are normal, that is kind of a high idle temp. If your desktop is locking when you go to desktop, are you checking your idle temps when in safe mode?
See if your card needs some cleaning, dust can highly effective temperatures.

if your screen goes black and your pc locks up its possible that the card is throttling itself when overheated. I used to have this when overclocking my 5770's and what it would do is the whole screen would go black when the temp got at 95 degrees, but then the driver would kick in and downclock the cards so the windows would re appear again but any application consuming the gfx usage would stop automatically.
See if your card needs some cleaning if it does, spray some compressed air to clean up the dust.
