Hi all

As the title says, I'm looking for a more compact ATX case and I would love to see what people recommend. I'm looking to spend as little as possible.

I put my heavy and bulky rig into storage a few years ago because I've been moving around a lot for work. This is still going to be the case, always to places with little in the way of free space, but it looks like work is going to get a little less crazy and I'll be able to get a bit of game time in. So I'm looking to transfer my rig into a compact case that's easy to move around and doesn't take up whopping amounts of space. :)

Therefore, I'd like to get some recommendations on compact ATX cases. I built my rig with the help of this forum way back in 2009(!), so it's getting on by today's standards. I'd love to buy a new compact rig, but don't have the funds to do so, and probably won't for another few years.

I realise that ATX limits my options :(

Current Rig

I can't even remember my CPU cooler or GPU, which shows how long I've been away.

Intel Core i7 920

Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R

Corsair VX 550W PSU

3x2GB OCZ Gold RAM

Samsung F1 1TB HD

OCZ Vertex 240GB SSD

Check out the Cooltek W2... very compact for ATX and easy to work in due to it being a dual chamber design. They've just released a tempered glass side panel version as well, very nice. :)

try a lian-lan case that has the psu in the front of the case, they are more like micro atx cases but will take a atx motherboard. They are about as small as your going to get,, but because the air flow isnt ideal with these cases, I wouldn't get one if you have a powerful gpu, as things might get a bit toasty in there

Edit: I have just seen the Cooltek W2 case and its a very nice case. Smaller then the Corsair 540 air and Im really thinking to buy one because of this and it should be able to hold more hdds then the 540 with a tiny bit of modding.
