Compact digital camera avice

I am looking for a new compact digital camera, I have narrowed my search to these two.

Canon Powershot SX200
Panasonic LUMIX DMC-TZ8

Any advice on to which is the better one to go for would be appreciated.

For the Canon option i would get either the Powershot G10 of G11. Not sure about your budget but they do have some of the DSLR features which is a good added bonus.

I'm not sure if the TZ8 is worth the extra compared to the TZ7 :confused:

So that could save you some money unless you have a reason for needing the TZ8 (I think it was more megapixels and different memory cards but that's about it)

TZ8 is 4 quid cheaper than the TZ7, it has been discounted.

OK in that case I would go for the Tz8 over the Canon but you can't really go wrong with either

I am going to have a play with them both tomorrow, The canon is the cheaper option, but only by 30 quid, so I will see which one I prefer tomorrow.

Went for the Canon in the end, as I found locally for 159.99. Bargain.
