Compact Digital upgrade

Hey folks

I currently have a Canon Powershot A95, which while a good camera goes through the 4xAA really fast and the screen is a little on the small side. Also the batteries make it quite heavy.

What would be a handy upgrade to this camera? I've had a little look around but I confess to knowing very little about cameras I'm definately in the point and shoot category.

Budget wise I'll go £200-£250 for a good replacement.

Tbh, I don't know much either, I just have the TZ5 and am happy with it.

After much reading and interweb searching I've managed to find a Canon S95 for £271 from here

Looks like a good deal for a good camera, even with the Fedex shipping its still cheaper than a lot of uk online retailers.
