I am looking for some recommendations/advice on a small compact router
My Synology RT2600AC won't accept two WAN connections that require VLAN ID's due to its hardware limitation of a single WAN VLANID, however I need the Synology for the Dual WAN failover function.
This has left me with using my existing ISP modem in bridge mode connected to the WAN to essentially do the PPPoE auth on VLAN 10 and pass the public IP down to the Synology thus eliminating the need for a VLAN set on the synology.
It works just fine however its bulky and I need something more smaller in profile.
What I am looking for essentially is a recommendation on some type of small compact router capable of signing on to PPPoE with VLAN ID and then bridging to the LAN port to pass the public IP to my synology. It doesn't need to be fancy or full or features, something reliable that I can set and forget.
