Compact Speakers

Certainly not bose haha

I know bose get a lot of flack, but the guy is just looking for a decent sound for his PC, the thing i listed produces great sound. His environment will be more detrimental than what brand of kit he's using as long as it's decent enough. That said though..:

Slightly above budget

I had minx in mind but couldn't remember the name of them. They are pretty neat, I trialled some out a few years ago and wasn't that impressed but I was comparing to decent hifi at the time. I got that small bose system for £100 s/h a while back with a sonos thrown in. Minx are overpriced for what they produce imo, but absolutely could be the solution. 100% Needs the sub though.

Anyway the main point is sub sat system seems no brainer for this set up. (nearfield listening with no space for placement or sound to breathe) regardless of type or brand.

I use a Fosi BT20A-Black myself, sounds excellent though a dedicated switch between Bluetooth and Aux-In wouldn't go amiss! I have to turn off my bluetooth on my phone if I want PC audio and it isn't always right next to me.

You'll get plenty of bass up close with some bookshelf speakers but you'll still need to wall/stand mount to fit in that area.
