compact suggestions...

hey,

I'm after a new compact digital mainly for pub/holiday snap shots etc. looking at spending between £200-£300. want something that is small enough to go in a pocket, but with enough quality for the occasional printout.

so far its out of.....

ixus 55
cybershot dsc-n1
caplio r30
exilim ex-s600

anyone else suggest contenders to go on the list????

Fuji f10 or f11. Best high iso performance so excellent for low-light use ie pubs etc.

panasonics are also worth considering. fx8, fx9 are excellent.

id be very cautious of buying a ricoh though. they dont seem to be the best built cameras around.

I agree with looking at the Fujis and Panasonics mentioned. TBH I'd buy either one of them,

but just as i thought i had the definitive list along come the new canon ixus 60, and ixus 65!! talk about put the cat amongst the pigeons!!

ixus 65 has now taken pole position in the desirability stakes, but its not out till april :-(
