Company of Heroes Patch Error

Tried to play CoH online this evening and asked me to install 1.71 patch. So downloaded but won't install get error message saying that there are missing, invalid or corrupt files.

So tried a repair - didn't work, tried uninstalling and reinstalling still didn't work - none of the patches finish and all crash with error message - have now done 3 reinstalls to different partitions but to not avail. Any ideas??

If it helps i've recently replaced motherboard and graphics card but everything else works fine (now using Asus P5NE board, E6600 CPU, Geil PC6400 2gb mem, and BFG OC2 8800 GTS).

I had similiar issues sometime ago not with the 1.71 patch, it worked out that I normally install my games in another directory and the patch doesn't work. As soon as the game is installed in the default c:\ location it installed without a problem.

Hmm might try that and see what happens. Bizarre that it used to work on my old system but after replacing motherboard it won't patch.

Hoping i don't have to do a re-install of XP (have already done a repair).
