what was with all the hype about this game, just re-installed it, everything maxed, people said it looked amazing, nothing breathtaking visually, so gameplay, again nothing shockingly great, am i missing something?

I have never liked RTS games, but i love this.

I have just been doing the carentan mission, the defending part was absoloutly stunning. Artilary going off, men flying everywhere.

I had bloodshot eyes afterwards. :D

found the landscapes looked a bit samey in COH to me. Visually all very similar. Once youve seen one broken ww2 building/bunker etc youve seen em all. Luckily the gameplay is solid :)

yeah the game looks nice i suppose, though nothing astoundingly brilliant, im not seeing this gameplay that is talked about though, but i like RTS games and i must say i prefer the likes of battle for middle earth 2 to be honest
 
For an RTS of in dx9 it has GREAT detail

I have my settings on high and it looks very nice for RTS

7300gt money well spent!

see i have 8800GTS and it runs like water, fluid as hell but all i feel is 'oh, this runs good', even with high AA and AF it still doesn't seem that detailed, what im asking is am i missing something, with my graphical options or something cause there seems to be no improvement with AA and AF to the way it looks without those applied :confused:
 
Its too easy and too short.

Not that much fun either, but i paid £24.99 for it so i was buggered if i wasnt going to finish it.

Im struggling and i put the difficulty on easy. But then i am crap at rts games. I am loving it though.
 
been playing it more over past few days, trying to get into it, i can see what people like, are there any mods that add more unit types and such, cause i love my RTS' to have lots of options, im a tech. junkie and need more options! and i think i have some naff drivers for my GTS, does the 1.5 patch improve anything? also on another note the callopie tank is unreal, its lethal and it looks great when it fires :)
 
my friend has lent me this but i dont think it will run on my PC! not tried yet, just doubting it, apparently its abit demanding!
