A slight variation is not a whole different type of cooler; reference blowers are required for tight SLI configurations for example. If you need a reference blower I'd send it back, otherwise I'd keep it as the reference blowers are usually a lot louder and worse at keeping temps in check (unless you're using a mini-ITX case or something).![]()
The 1060 with the reference cooler is actually very cool, quiet and quite effective at removing the heat from the case. I've got one myself and I think I recommended it to the OP in another thread for that reason.
