Hi all,
I have a Compaq 6820s laptop which has a T5470 Core2Duo. I'd like to upgrade this as the T5470 doesn't support Intel VT-x.
I went looking around and discoverd that later model 6820s laptops have T7250 CPUs which do support VT-x and I checked the Intel specs. here.

On paper it looks good as neither are embedded but what is the reality. Can I simply upgrade the laptop CPU as I would with a desktop computer?
Thanks,
