I've spent the last 2 hours searching for mem for this dam lappy.

Every website I got tells me something diff.

Crucial.com says PC133 but the part code from the M700 manual that I downloaded which doesnt even list the 500Mhz P3 version says its PC100.

PC133 should work buts its like £90.

The PC100 is like £40, but it isnt a website i've heard of.

The spec I think is PC100 144 pin SO-DIMMs 3.3V.

Correct?

Firsrt time PC mem has confused me so much :p

Aye sounds quite expensive for SDRAM even though it's getting harder to find these days. If you get Crucial or Kingston PC100 it will normally run quite happily at 133 if your memory speed is set manually, but to be fair you won't notice much difference between 133 and 100.

Either will work, however make sure the memory is guaranteed to work with the M700, i've owned and repaired a few, still have a 450 somewhere, they're horribly picky about what memory they work with.

Both prices are for 256mb sticks

The cheaper site has free returns if it doesn't work so ill order later.
