An incredibly long shot here, but those who never ask... :)

Does anyone here have experience with taking apart a Compaq Evo N410c Ultraportable? I'm trying to get the palmrest off one I've 'acquired' (legally), and having problems. :(

I've found all four screws that need to come out, but it looks like there's a retention clip between the palmrest and the keyboard, and despite my best efforts (including removing the keyboard) I haven't been able to get that to release (don't want to snap it).

Suggestions welcome. :)

Thankyou - Page 5-7 of that was the bit I needed. Now to actually do what it says (I already pushed it every way I can think of). :)

Edit - god they love Torx security bits. I needed T6 and T8. Luckily I have a good compliment of those.

As for the palmrest - I just needed to apply a little more pressure in the right place and off it popped. Sorted. Thanks.
