Compare my routers

My ISP have decided to kindly upgrade my internet connection from 1MB to 2MB. I currently have a Netgear DG 834G V2. My ISP have sent me a new router ( Thompson Speedtouch 585 V6), is this router better or should I just stick with my orginal?
